Do you believe that there is a cure or cures for depression? I don’t blame you if you’re skeptical. I know that you may have had your hopes raised before without any changes occur in your life. But please don’t stop looking for answers, for yourself or your loved ones- I might just have some answers for you.
I’m writing this blog because I want to help people discover the answers that they need to find freedom in their lives. The problem is that people, scientists and doctors are looking for a ‘one-size-fits-all’ solution to fix their problems- and depression is no different.
What’s wrong with a ‘one-size-fits-all’ approach you ask? It’s because depression has more than one cause. Haven’t you wondered before whether depression had an emotional, spiritual or physical cause? To top it off, in relation to the physical causes of depression, I’ve discovered that there are at least 20 hormonal imbalances, nutrient deficiencies or other biochemical imbalances that could contribute.
So what’s my advice when it comes to finding a cure or cures for depression?
1) Realize that there are many causes for depression and therefore many different treatments.
2) Understand that an effective treatment or ‘cure’ for a friend or acquaintance may not work for you (because your depression and their depression may not have the same underlying cause).
3) Know that for you to find ‘a cure’ for your depression, you really need to find out what specifically is causing your depression. Once you know what is causing the depression then you can treat that particular imbalance. For example, there’s no point taking a supplement or hormone medication, if you’re not deficient in the nutrient or hormone.
4) Recognize that even if you take the right nutrient or hormone, you need to take the right dose. If you don’t take enough of the supplement or medication it won’t meet the need. It’s kind of like, if you’re really hungry and you only eat a quarter of an apple it’s not going to full the gap. You’re still going to feel hungry right? That’s the same with treating nutrient and hormone deficiencies- if you don’t take the right dose, even if it’s the right nutrient or medication, it’s just not going to work properly- and the depression you feel won’t lift.
